LG Electronics Philippines went all-in for Earth Day 2026 with an employee-powered e-waste drive that collected a massive *1,200 kilograms of e-waste* from March 31 to April 21. The goal? Push for responsible waste management and boost environmental awareness from the inside out.
This wasn’t just a drop-off box situation. LG PH teamed up with an accredited hazardous waste management partner to ensure every TV, phone, gadget, battery, and small appliance collected was disposed of properly. To make it even more hands-on, employee volunteers personally joined the e-waste destruction at LG’s warehouse in Pasig City — proving sustainability starts with everyday action.
The initiative is part of LG’s bigger global green mission. Worldwide, the company recycles waste from all domestic and overseas business sites, maintaining an impressive *recycling rate above 95%*. To date, LG has collected *5.01 million tons of e-waste* and counting. The brand also runs electronic product collection and treatment services in *89 locations across 54 countries*, with Philippine recycling services kicking off in August 2022.
Why does it matter? E-waste like broken TVs, computers, and phones can harm water, air, and soil if dumped improperly. LG’s Earth Day push tackles that head-on while encouraging employees to be active corporate citizens.
