Grab Philippines just made GrabCar Group Ride even better — the fare now splits automatically in the app, so each passenger can save up to 50% versus booking solo. No more math, no more singilan after the trip.
Here’s how it works: one person books as the host, then invites up to two friends to join the same GrabCar. You can set up to three different drop-offs along the way, so everyone gets home safe without booking three separate cars. The more friends who hop in, the more affordable it gets for all of you, and you’ll see your share upfront before you even confirm.
And if you always ride with the same officemates or barkada? You can save them as a group, along with your go-to pickup and drop-off pins. Next time, it’s just a few taps and you’re good to go. Perfect for after-work uwian or late-night hangouts.
Why it’s called GrabCar 3-in-1
To celebrate the upgrade, Grab launched the “GrabCar 3-in-1” campaign — and if you grew up in the 2000s, you’ll get it instantly. Remember those super catchy shampoo sachet jingles? Grab took that same energy and turned it into an online video that shows how riding together is just more sulit.
Three passengers, one booking. Just like your favorite sachet, you get more for less — plus good company on the way home.
As Bea Bravo, Country Marketing Head of Grab Philippines puts it: “‘Hati-hati’ has always been part of how we move together. It’s not just about splitting costs, it’s about looking out for one another.”
How to try it:
Open Grab > tap GrabCar > select Group Ride > set your pickup and drop-off > share the invite link to up to 2 friends > they add their drop-offs > confirm and ride. The app handles the split!
Available now in all GrabCar cities nationwide.
